Thales Academy Apex scored the most runs they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 23-18 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wake Christian Academy Bulldogs. The defeat leaves the Titans still looking for their first win of the season.

Brianna Lamborn and Kaitlin Milstead did some serious damage despite the final result: Lamborn scored three runs and stole two bases while going 5-for-5, while Milstead scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Makenzie Marsh, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her six plate appearances.

Thales Academy Apex's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Wake Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Thales Academy Apex will square off against Neuse Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wake Christian Academy, they will face off against Ravenscroft at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
