Volleyball Recap: Durfee Wins Going Away Against Scituate

Durfee's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They blew past the Scituate Sailors 3-0. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Hilltoppers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-20, 25-13.

Braeden Bartley paced Durfee's offense, picking up 11 kills. Bartley got some help from Victor Cardoso and his 23 assists. Bartley was also solid from the service line: he led the team with six aces.

Durfee's victory bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Scituate, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season.

Durfee has already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Taunton on the 7th. As for Scituate, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against North Quincy on the 7th.
