Collinsville entered their tilt with Era on Thursday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They blew past the Hornets, posting a 63-20 victory. Given the Pirates' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 399th, while the Hornets are ranked 828th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Collinsville's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Era, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-3.
