Basketball Recap: Columbus Takes a Loss

Columbus lost against New Heights Christian Academy back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Columbus Titans fell to the New Heights Christian Academy Cougars 46-40.

Defeat or not, Columbus got some senior leadership from Katy Mooney and Brylie Johnson. Mooney posted 15 points, while Johnson put up 12 points. Another player making a difference was Trinty Green, who had five points.

Columbus now has a losing record at 1-2.

Columbus and Cherryvale will compete for holiday cheer on Tuesday. As for New Heights Christian Academy, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the New Heights Christian Academy Cougars face off against the Baxter Springs Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
