Basketball Recap: Hillcrest Extends Winning Streak to Five

Hillcrest waltzed into their contest on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with a 69-56 win over the PURE Academy Athletes.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hillcrest to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jerrell Miller, who posted 17 points. Miller's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Ja?Coby Lewis, who had 15 points.

Hillcrest is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points per game. As for PURE Academy, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Hillcrest will have a chance to go back-to-back against PURE Academy: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
