Basketball Recap: Ridge Community Bolts vs. Auburndale Bloodhounds

The Ridge Community Bolts pushed their score all the way to 67 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 79-67 to Auburndale. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (58), Ridge Community still had to take the loss.

Despite the loss, Ridge Community still got an impressive performance from Eddy Hyppolite jr., who scored 21 points along with six steals and five rebounds. Hyppolite jr. is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Tarique Kennedy, who scored 14 points.

Ridge Community's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-13. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.7 points per game. As for Auburndale, their victory bumped their record up to 8-16.

Ridge Community will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. As for Auburndale, they will square off against the Blue Streaks at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Sebring is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 70 points per game this season.
