            Baseball Recap: Northridge Academy Pumas vs. East Valley Falcons        
        
		
        
        
            Northridge Academy extended their losing streak  to three  on Friday, dropping their season record down to 4-10 in the process. They lost  13-2 to the East Valley Falcons. The Pumas were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Falcons earlier this season, when they won  15-11.
  Alberto Zamora was cooking despite his team's loss,   going a perfect 1-for-1 with one  stolen base, one  double,  and one  RBI.
As for East Valley, the  win was  the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-5. Those  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games.
On East Valley's side,  Emilio Martinez made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he  tossed five innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   three  hits. Martinez has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate,  going 3-for-4 with three  runs. That's the most  runs  he has posted since back in May of 2024.
 In other batting news,  Kevin Castro was  excellent,  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances with three  runs and one  double. Those  three  runs gave  him a new career-high.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Northridge Academy will  take on  rival Reseda  at 2:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Meanwhile, East Valley is set to  challenge  their familiar foe Canoga Park  at 2:30  p.m.  on Wednesday.
