Preview: New Summerfield Hornets vs. Mt. Enterprise Wildcats

New Summerfield is on a six-game streak of home losses, Mt. Enterprise a 14-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The New Summerfield Hornets will take on the Mt. Enterprise Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

New Summerfield suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They were dealt a 98-20 loss at the hands of Alto.

Even though Mt. Enterprise has not done well against Carlisle recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Mt. Enterprise took down Carlisle 57-42.

Mt. Enterprise's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jack Maples led the charge by dropping a double-double on 15 points and 18 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Maples has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kaegan Ash, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds and four steals.

New Summerfield's loss dropped their record down to 4-21. As for Mt. Enterprise, their victory bumped their record up to 13-9.

New Summerfield was taken down by Mt. Enterprise 69-22 when the teams last played on January 2nd. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point New Summerfield was down 40-15.
