Breckinridge County's win on Monday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Adelynn Moorman, who went 8 of 11from beyond the arc on her way to 26 points and four steals. With that strong performance, Moorman is now averaging an impressive 2.2 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Elizabeth Grimes, who went 7 of 14 on her way to 21 points and three steals.
Meanwhile, Meade County was fully in charge on Monday, breezing past Christian Academy-Louisville 72-33. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Green Waves had established a 35 point advantage.
Meade County had a senior duo take command as Peyton Bradley went 7 of 15 on her way to 25 points in addition to six assists and five steals and Savannah Triplett went 8 of 13 on her way to 21 points and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Bradley has scored at least a third of Meade County's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylee Rider, who posted six points along with six boards and five assists.
Breckinridge County's victory ended a three-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-0. As for Meade County, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Breckinridge County has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 26 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Meade County struggles in that department as they've been averaging 28.3 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
