Basketball Recap: Tyler Veugeler Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat River Christian

Sugar Hill Christian Academy's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They walked away with a 57-46 victory over the River Christian Royals.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sugar Hill Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tyler Veugeler, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds. Veugeler has been hot recently, having posted eight or more boards the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Gabriel Espin, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 16 rebounds.

Sugar Hill Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 9-14. As for River Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Sugar Hill Christian Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Monsignor Donovan Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Sugar Hill Christian Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.9 points per game this season. As for River Christian, they will venture away from home to take on Georgia Force Christian at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
