Volleyball Recap: Pacific Ridge Has No Trouble Against Maranatha Christian

Pacific Ridge's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Maranatha Christian Eagles as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Firebirds not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since August 13th (when they won 3-0).

Pacific Ridge never let Maranatha Christian on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-10, 25-22.

Simone Hobbs paced Pacific Ridge's offense, picking up 16 kills. Hobbs got some help from Calista Lowery and her 19 assists. Lowery was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Pacific Ridge now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Maranatha Christian, their loss ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-5.

Pacific Ridge has already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against La Jolla on the 16th. As for Maranatha Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Newbury Park on the 12th.
