Softball Recap: Champion Golden Flashes vs. Memorial Red Devils

Champion's rock-solid pitcher showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Saturday. They beat the Memorial Red Devils by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 13-0. Considering Champion has won 15 contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Memorial's batters probably weren't too happy with Sam Strock, who pitched a no hitter (she gave up no walks).

At the plate, Addison Warzala was incredible, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Hadley, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1.

Champion pushed their record up to 17-3 with that victory, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Memorial, they now have a losing record at 11-12.

Champion will be playing in front of their home fans against Walsh Jesuit at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Walsh Jesuit will roll in looking for their 17th straight win, something Champion surely won't give up without a fight. As for Memorial, they will be playing at home against Cardinal Mooney at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Memorial is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.8 runs per game this season.
