Baseball Recap: Montfort Academy Knights vs. Gorton Wolves
Montfort Academy had to start their season on the road on Wednesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They wound up on the wrong side of a tough 12-3 walloping at the hands of the Gorton Wolves.
For Gorton's part, Justin Medina was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out nine batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. Medina was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.
