Basketball Game Preview: First Coast Buccaneers vs. West Nassau Warriors

First Coast is on a four-game streak of home losses, West Nassau an 11-game streak of away losses dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Monday. The First Coast Buccaneers will host the West Nassau Warriors at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with seven losses in a row, First Coast turned things around against KIPP Bold City on Thursday. They came out on top against the Greyhounds by a score of 42-32.

Meanwhile, West Nassau beat Englewood 46-34 on Friday.

West Nassau found their leader in freshman Olivia Wiggins, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Mariah Coleman, who posted 12 points and five assists.

West Nassau was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

First Coast's victory bumped their record up to 3-10. As for West Nassau, their win bumped their record up to 2-9.

First Coast strolled past West Nassau in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 by a score of 64-45. Does First Coast have another victory up their sleeve, or will West Nassau turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
