Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Portal). They were the clear victors by a 38-12 margin over the Tattnall County Warriors on Thursday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Panthers needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Portal's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Tattnall County, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9.

Looking ahead, Portal will head out on the road to square off against South Effingham at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Tattnall County, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Metter at 5:00 p.m. The Warriors will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
