Soccer Recap: Canton Comes Up Short

Canton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 8-0 to the Dunlap Eagles. While losing is never fun, Canton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 389th, while Dunlap are ranked 24th).

Canton's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Dunlap, the win keeps them at an undefeated 10-0-1.

Looking ahead, Canton is taking a road trip to challenge Pekin at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dunlap, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 1-0 loss against Saint Ignatius College Prep on the 25th.
