Football Recap: Greater Johnstown Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Greater Johnstown had lost eight straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-5 to make it nine. They were beaten by the Bishop McCort Crushers 41-6. The Trojans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 26-6.

As for Bishop McCort, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 6.3 points on average this season.

Bishop McCort got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jon Delia out in front who rushed for 81 yards and two TDs. Another player making a difference was Angelo Gallucci, who gained 144 total yards and a touchdown.

Looking ahead, Greater Johnstown will host Richland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rams' defense has only allowed 11.5 points per game this season, so the Trojans' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Bishop McCort, they will head out on the road to face off against Westmont Hilltop at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Crushers will be up against the Hilltoppers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 44.67 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
