Recap: Duncanville Panthers and Pantherettes vs. Hutto Hippos
With a playoff game on the line, the Duncanville Panthers and Pantherettes rose to the challenge on Monday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 100-35 win over the Hippos. Duncanville has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 22 contests by 21 points or more this season.
Duncanville's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mariah Clayton, who scored 16 points along with eight steals and five assists. Clayton has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last six times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Mann, who scored 21 points along with five assists and three steals.
Duncanville is on a roll lately: they've won 19 of their last 20 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 29-4 record this season. As for Hutto, their loss dropped their record down to 15-20.
Duncanville is on the road again on Thursday and plays Rockwall on February 15th. Duncanville has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 561 points over their last seven contests. Hutto does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
