Basketball Recap: Cousino Skates Past Mott with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cousino). They breezed by the Mott Marauders to the tune of 72-21 on Friday. While the Patriots didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Cousino, bringing their record for this year to 4-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.8 points per game. As for Mott, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Cousino and L'Anse Creuse North will round out the year against one another at at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mott, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on South Lake at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
