They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 57-54 win over Cheyenne-Eagle Butte. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Mobridge-Pollock has posted against the Braves since February 4, 2020.
Cheyenne-Eagle Butte's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Braxton Kennedy, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Dayson Kennedy, who scored 17 points.
Mobridge-Pollock's win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Cheyenne-Eagle Butte, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mobridge-Pollock will take on the Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Cheyenne-Eagle Butte, they will head out on the road to face off against the Warriors at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
