Volleyball Recap: The Rock Starts off Right with Win over Grace Christian

The Rock had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Grace Christian Crusader, sneaking past 3-2.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (100-96) The Rock actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-19, 13-25, 25-20, 15-11.

Grace Christian's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-7.

Coming up, Grace Christian will take on Byne Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Saints will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Crusader surely won't give up without a fight. The Rock will be paying especially close attention to Grace Christian's match: after Grace Christian faces off against Kings Way Christian School, they'll take on The Rock again at 6:00 p.m. on October 7.
