Basketball Recap: Alessandro Ferace Key Part of a Team Effort in Vipers Win

There's no place like home for Lake Buena Vista, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They managed a 67-63 win over the Freedom Patriots on Wednesday. The Vipers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Patriots, too.

Lake Buena Vista's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alessandro Ferace led the charge by going 7 for 12 en route to 18 points. Another player making a difference was Travis Ligene, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 12 points.

Freedom's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Riccardo Palombarini, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 15 rebounds. Palombarini is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Elensky Horatius, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds.

Lake Buena Vista's record is now 9-11. As for Freedom, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.

Lake Buena Vista has already played their next game (against Horizon), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Freedom has already played their next contest, a 68-61 victory against Montverde Academy Purple on the 16th.
