Basketball Recap: Jordan-Matthews Takes a Loss

Jordan-Matthews was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were dealt a 62-12 defeat at the hands of the Seaforth Hawks. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, with their most recent loss being a 53-14 defeat last Tuesday.

Seaforth got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Peyton Collins out in front who went 5-for-8 en route to 12 points and five steals. Another player making a difference was Gabrielle White, who went 5-for-11 on her way to 11 points and seven rebounds.

Jordan-Matthews' loss dropped their record down to 4-20. As for Seaforth, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-2.

Jordan-Matthews does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Seaforth, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 69-47 win against Northwood on the 18th.
