Virtus Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Trinity Fredrick and Nia Cribb. Fredrick dropped a double-double with 25 points and ten steals, while Cribb almost dropped a double-double with 11 boards and nine steals. That was a full 69.4% of the Wolves' points, marking the third time in a row Fredrick has posted more than a third of the team's points.

Kalah Johnson was the offensive standout of the contest as she earned 13 points. Those 13 points gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Anyah Banks, who put up 11 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.

Virtus Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Cheraw, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
