South Gate and Roosevelt are an even 3-3-4 against one another since May of 2021, but likely not for long. The Rams will head out on the road to challenge the Rough Riders at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. South Gate's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

South Gate is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against Huntington Park on Wednesday. The two teams finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw. There's a chance things could've gone differently had South Gate not been charged with a red card from Cesar Medina.

Anthony Villalobos and Edgar Gomez scored both of South Gate's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Meanwhile, Roosevelt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to South. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Roosevelt couldn't quite close it out.

With that draw, South Gate's record moves to 2-2-1. As for Roosevelt, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

Everything went South Gate's way against Roosevelt when the teams last played back in February, as South Gate made off with a 4-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
