Basketball Recap: Millennium Picks Up 12th Consecutive Victory

With a playoff win on the line, Millennium rose to the challenge on Saturday. They beat the Valley Vista Monsoon by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 57-31. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 21 points or more this season.

Destiny Lunan continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, shooting 52% from the field on her way to 37 points and three steals. Lunan is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Dashia Richardson, who went 5-for-7 to rack up 16 points and three steals.

The win (which was Millennium's 12th in a row) raised their record to 25-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.8 points over those games. As for Valley Vista, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 25-9.
