Basketball Recap: Flat Rock's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Flat Rock lost against St. Mary Catholic Central back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Flat Rock Rams lost to the St. Mary Catholic Central Falcons/Kestrels on the road by a 69-52 margin. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 145th, while the Falcons/Kestrels are ranked 22nd).

When it comes to explaining why Flat Rock lost, don't look at Madleen Hussein. Despite the final result, she went 12 of 20 en route to 27 points and three steals. With that strong performance, Hussein is now averaging an impressive 15.3 points per game. Averey Mysliwiec was another key player, putting up nine points.

Flat Rock's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-7. As for St. Mary Catholic Central, the win keeps them at an undefeated 14-0.
