Soccer Recap: Grandview Heights Takes a Loss

While it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Grandview Heights was not quite Mariemont's equal in the second half on Saturday. They fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 2-1. Grandview Heights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Mariemont apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Grandview Heights' loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Mariemont, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Coming up, Grandview Heights will challenge Franklin Heights at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Grandview Heights will be up against Franklin Heights' rather soft defense (which has allowed three goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Mariemont, they will square off against Taylor at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be Mariemont's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
