Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Chesnee walked away with it. They blew past the Strom Thurmond Rebels 3-0 on Monday. The victory was familiar territory for the Eagles, who have now won eight matches in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-18, 25-11.

Justice Wood paced Chesnee's offense, picking up nine kills. Wood got some help from Dacie Green and her 19 assists. Claire Cash controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Despite the loss, Strom Thurmond still got an impressive performance from Jules Sides, who had 17 digs and one assist.

Chesnee's win bumped their record up to 22-4-1. As for Strom Thurmond, their loss dropped their record down to 11-11.

Chesnee didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against North Central on the 29th. Strom Thurmond does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
