Soccer Recap: Kenwood Comes Up Short

Kenwood saw some tournament action on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Mather Rangers by a score of 3-2. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Kenwood came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 112th, while Mather are ranked 339th).

Kenwood's loss dropped their record down to 8-2-1. As for Mather, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-8-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kenwood will take on Schurz at 5:00 p.m. on October 2. As for Mather, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Roosevelt at 4:30 a.m. on October 9.
