Softball Game Preview: West-Oak Warriors vs. Belton-Honea Path Bears

For the first time this season, West-Oak will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup on Friday. They will welcome the Belton-Honea Path Bears at 6:00 p.m. Both teams are still undefeated (West-Oak has five wins , while Belton-Honea Path has eight dating back to last season).

On Tuesday, West-Oak was able to grind out a solid victory over Wren, taking the game 7-4. The seven-run effort marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Tori Roy was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Kylie Perkins, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run.

Meanwhile, Belton-Honea Path never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 13-0 margin over Pendleton. The result was nothing new for the Bears, who have now won four contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Belton-Honea Path's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for West-Oak, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-0.
