Baseball Recap: Columbia Academy Takes a Loss

Columbia Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the East Central Hornets.

Carson Stuart was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024.

Columbia Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for East Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-8.

We've got a battle between Cougars coming up. The timing isn't great for Brookhaven Academy: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Columbia Academy has snatched up four consecutive wins on the road. As for East Central, they will take on Vancleave at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
