There's no place like home for Ponaganset, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Johnston Panthers by a score of 7-2 on Thursday. For the Chieftains, this counts as revenge for the 7-6 victory the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Ponaganset's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Johnston, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Ponaganset will challenge rival St. Raphael Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Johnston is set to face off against their familiar foe Chariho at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
