Baseball Game Preview: Clover Eagles vs. Dutch Fork Silver Foxes

For the second straight game, Clover will face off against Dutch Fork. The Eagles will square off against the Silver Foxes on Thursday.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Clover turned things around against Dutch Fork on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Silver Foxes, sneaking past 7-5.

Justin Cox looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Tyler Fan was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. He has become a key player for Clover: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 11-14 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Briggs Lessmeister, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Clover's win bumped their record up to 13-15. As for Dutch Fork, they moved to 14-11 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.
