Volleyball Recap: Mountain View Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Mountain View came tearing into Thursday's match with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Towanda Black Knights. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 win the Black Knights walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Mountain View took Towanda into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 25-17, 25-20, 19-25, 15-11.

Mountain View's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Addison Kilmer, who had 22 blocks, seven kills, and seven digs. Those 22 blocks gave Kilmer a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrey Sanders, who had 26 assists and three aces.

Mountain View's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Towanda, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-7.

Coming up, Mountain View will be playing in front of their home fans against Lake-Lehman at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Towanda, they will challenge Athens at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
