There's no place like home for Halifax County, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They never let the George Washington Eagles get on the board and left with a 16-0 win on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Comets, who have now won six games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Halifax County has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for George Washington, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Halifax County will venture away from home to challenge Jefferson Forest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Comets 4.1, the Cavaliers 1.2) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for George Washington, they will head out to face off against William Campbell at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
