Recap: La Crosse Logan Rangers vs. Sparta Spartans
The La Crosse Logan Rangers fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They enjoyed a cozy 65-51 win over Sparta on Friday. That 14 points margin sets a new team best for La Crosse Logan this season.
Several Spartans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gus Tripp, who scored seven points. Another player making a difference was Gavin Rhead, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds.
La Crosse Logan's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-13. As for Sparta, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. La Crosse Logan will take on Prairie du Chien at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Prairie du Chien is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games. As for Sparta, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Viroqua at 7:15 p.m. One thing working in Viroqua's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last ten games.
