Football Recap: Somerville Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If Somerville was feeling good fresh off their 55-0 takedown of Snook two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Yeguas took a hard 50-33 fall against the Iola Bulldogs on Friday. The Yeguas were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Somerville lost, don't look at Ja'Keith Daniels. Despite the final result, he rushed for 135 yards and two scores while picking up 7.9 yards per carry. Daniels has been hot recently, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last three times he's played.

Somerville's record is now 3-2. As for Iola, they now also have a winning record of 3-2.
