Softball Recap: Sullivan Sets Scoring Season-High Against Neoga

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sullivan). They were the clear victors by a 16-6 margin over the Neoga Indians on Monday. The Redskins haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Piper Conlin was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Mackenzie Mercer was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3.

Sullivan was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .452. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Sullivan's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Neoga, their loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-7.

Looking ahead, Sullivan will challenge Central A & M at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Redskins are facing the Raiders at the right time seeing as the Raiders are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Neoga, they will face off against Brownstown/St. Elmo at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
