Recap: Dickson County Cougars vs. Independence Eagles        
        
		
            
 The Dickson County Cougars were the  59-34 winner over the Independence Eagles when they last played one another  back in February of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. Dickson County received a tough blow  on Tuesday as they fell  54-39 to Independence. Dickson County's loss keeps them winless this season.
 Dickson County's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Jenna Saine, who  scored 12 points along with 6  rebounds. Saine scored a full 30.8% of Dickson County's points, the third time in a row she's  earned more than a third of the team's points.  Kaylee Edmisson was another key contributor,  scoring 6 points along with 3  steals.
 Leading Independence to victory were  Riley Brooks and  Aaliyah Fleming.  Brooks  dropped  a double-double on 14 points and 10  rebounds, while  Fleming  scored 15 points along with 5  rebounds and 5  steals. Brooks hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. Another player making a difference was  Savanna Seay, who  scored 9 points along with 6  rebounds and 3  steals.
 The last time Dickson County won  on the road was back  last Tuesday. Having now lost three straight away games, they've  bumped their record down to 0-3. As for Independence, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dickson County will be staying on the road  on Tuesday to face off against Rossview at 6:00  p.m.  on December 5th. As for Independence, they will  challenge Fairview at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday.
