Volleyball Recap: Ashland Takes a Loss

Ashland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Lakeland Thunderbirds. The Oredockers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Thunderbirds apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2019.

While Ashland was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Lakeland's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-13, 25-14.

Ashland's record is now 3-17. As for Lakeland, their victory bumped their record up to 20-12.

Ashland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lakeland, they will head out to face off against Wisconsin Dells at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
