Baseball Game Preview: Huron River Rats vs. Monroe Trojans

For the second straight game, Huron will face off against Monroe. The River Rats will be playing at home against the Trojans at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Huron has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since the 12th.

Huron's last matchup with Monroe could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Monday. The River Rats lost 9-3 to the Trojans.

Xander Bola?os was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Andrew Hoffman, who earned one RBI and two stolen bases.

The win made it two in a row for Monroe and bumps their season record up to 6-20. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Huron, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-27-1.
