Basketball Recap: Denfeld Snags 14th Win in Last 16 Games

Denfeld barely beat Hibbing the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Denfeld Hunters beat the Hibbing Bluejackets on Thursday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 75-52. The Hunters have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 23 points or more this season.

Denfeld is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.8 points over those games. With the loss, Hibbing broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-8.

Coming up, Denfeld will face off against Totino-Grace on Tuesday. Totino-Grace knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 28 matches -- so hopefully Denfeld likes a good challenge. Hibbing does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
