Basketball Game Preview: Stevenson Patriots vs. Fishers Tigers

The Stevenson Patriots will square off against the Fishers Tigers at 12:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Stevenson saw some tournament action on Monday. They took a 45-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of St. Charles North. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Fishers faced Evansville Central in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. Fishers fell 65-54 to Evansville Central.

Despite the defeat, Fishers saw an underclassman step up: freshman Riley Schellhammer went 7 for 17 on her way to 23 points and eight steals. Those eight steals set a new season-high mark for Schellhammer.

Stevenson's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Fishers, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-6 record this season.
