Recap: Tesoro Titans vs. San Clemente Tritons
The Tesoro Titans scored first but ultimately less than the San Clemente Tritons in their match on Friday. They lost to the Tritons on the road by a decisive 38-24 margin. Tesoro has struggled against San Clemente recently, as their matchup on Friday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Cash O'Byrne and Travis Wood certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. O'Byrne threw for 286 yards and a touchdown, while Wood rushed for 94 yards.
Leading San Clemente to victory were Aiden Rubin and Dylan Mills. Rubin rushed for 195 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.9 yards per carry, while Mills rushed for 123 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries. Rubin was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 60 yards. San Clemente also got help from Cole Herlean who showed off his sure hands for 94 receiving yards.
Tesoro's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for San Clemente, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.
Tesoro does not have any more games scheduled as of now. San Clemente also has no future games currently scheduled.
