Basketball Recap: Brownstown/St. Elmo Takes a Loss

After flying high against Ramsey last Tuesday, Brownstown/St. Elmo came back down to earth. The Brownstown/St. Elmo Eagles fell 49-42 to the Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Bobcats on Friday. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bobcats earlier this season, when they won 61-41.

Brownstown/St. Elmo dropped their record down to 13-16 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-17.

Coming up, Brownstown/St. Elmo won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
