Basketball Recap: Bethesda Christian Comes Up Short

Bethesda Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Sacred Heart Tigers, falling 43-23. The match marked the Lions' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Sacred Heart was led to victory by Clayton Bezner and Jayden Villarreal. Bezner went 6 for 12 en route to 17 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals, while Villarreal almost dropped a double-double on nine boards and 11 assists. Villarreal is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last seven games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jake Hess, who posted seven points and six boards.

Bethesda Christian's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Sacred Heart, their record now sits at 5-10.

Bethesda Christian has already played their next game, a 38-33 defeat against Harvest Christian Academy on the 23rd. As for Sacred Heart, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 54-48 win against Wichita Christian on the 23rd.
