Soccer Recap: Danville Takes a Loss

Danville lost against Peoria Notre Dame back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Vikings lost 6-1 to the Irish. While losing is never fun, Danville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 230th, while Peoria Notre Dame are ranked 42nd).

Danville's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 1-1-1 and their overall record down to 4-3-3. As for Peoria Notre Dame, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Danville will welcome Schlarman at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Peoria Notre Dame, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 1-1 draw against Berwyn/Cicero Morton on the 12th.
