Rock Canyon is 8-1 against Castle View since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Jaguars will head out to face off against the Sabercats at 4:15 p.m. Neither Rock Canyon nor Castle View posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Rock Canyon fell victim to Fossil Ridge and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They came up short against the SaberCats, falling 11-0. The Jaguars just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Meanwhile, Castle View faced Mountain Vista in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Sabercats lost 11-0 to the Golden Eagles. The game marked the first time this season in which the Sabercats were not able to get on the board.

Castle View saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tommy Feldhake, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. Feldhake is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last seven games he's played.

Castle View's loss dropped their record down to 14-5. As for Rock Canyon, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.

Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Wednesday. Rock Canyon hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like Castle View struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.9 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.

Rock Canyon suffered a grim 19-2 defeat to Castle View when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Jaguars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
