Volleyball Recap: King's Falls Despite Big Games from Zoe Barnett and Ella Young

King lost against Cedar Park Christian back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Knights fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 3-2. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

King's wouldn't go down easily and took Cedar Park Christian into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking seven-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 21-25, 11-25, 25-19, 15-8.

King's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Ella Young, who had 19 digs and three aces, and Zoe Barnett, who had 23 digs. With that strong performance, Young is now averaging an impressive 11 digs per game. Rowan Loeding also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

King's now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Cedar Park Christian, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-2-2.

King's wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against Cascade Christian on the 3rd. As for Cedar Park Christian, they will venture away from home to face off against Bear Creek at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday.
